Ice Cream Social at the Dillon Schoolhouse- Saturday, July 18, 2009 - 1 - 4 p.m.
Come over and get an ice cream cone for the old fashioned price of $0.05. Tours of the 1883 School House and 2 log cabins and a slide show showing the relocation of the Town of Dillon and the building of the Dam. The SHS's 1942 Sterling/Howe antique fire truck will be a special attraction at this event!

Guided Tours of Iowa Hill Interpretive Mining Area
Learn about the aspects of mining during this invigorating hike up to one of the most intact mining sites in Summit County - complete with relics of that era. Also the beautifully restored miners bunk house. Contact the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance at 1-800-980-1859.

Railroad Days at Rotary Snowplow Park and Boreas Pass -
Celebrate the glory days of the narrow guage railroad and its impact on the development and history of Summit County. Visit the Snowplow Park (one block east of South Main Street in Breckenridge on Boreas Pass Road), then traveled to the summit of Boreas Pass to visit the restored Section House.
