An 'Evening Under the Stars' Concert at the Dillon Amphitheater - TBA.
An evening under the stars featuring local professional musicians. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

Ice Cream Social at the Dillon Schoolhouse- Saturday, July 18, 2009 - 1 - 4 p.m.
Come over and get an ice cream cone for the old fashioned price of $0.05. Tours of the 1883 School House and 2 log cabins and a slide show showing the relocation of the Town of Dillon and the building of the Dam. The SHS's 1942 Sterling/Howe antique fire truck will be a special attraction at this event!

Valley Brook Cemetery Guided Tour

Children's Story Hour - at the Lomax Placer Mine Site
Parents, children and everyone can enjoy a summer evening of story-telling and pizza at this placer mining site complete with three buildings. Located on Ski Hill Road, 1/2 mile west of Park Avenue. Contact the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance at 1-800-980-1859.

Guided Tours of Iowa Hill Interpretive Mining Area
Learn about the aspects of mining during this invigorating hike up to one of the most intact mining sites in Summit County - complete with relics of that era. Also the beautifully restored miners bunk house. Contact the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance at 1-800-980-1859.

The Dillon Schoolhouse Museum is located at 403 La Bonte St. in Dillon. The museum is free but donations are requested.

Dillon, Denver and the Dam Tours - TBA.
Hear the story of the construction of the Dillon Dam, the disappearance of "Old Dillon" and the creation of "new" Dillon from Sandra Mather, author and tour guide. Meet at the at the Dillon Schoolhouse Museum. $5.00 donation/person suggested. Call (970) 468-2207 for information.

Railroad Days at Rotary Snowplow Park and Boreas Pass -
Celebrate the glory days of the narrow guage railroad and its impact on the development and history of Summit County. Visit the Snowplow Park (one block east of South Main Street in Breckenridge on Boreas Pass Road), then traveled to the summit of Boreas Pass to visit the restored Section House.
