How to Become a Member

A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU…………

The Board of Directors of the Summit Historical Society invites you to become a member of the Society.

We are a nonprofit organization founded in 1966. Our mission is “to identify, preserve, interpret, and disseminate the history of Summit County, Colorado.” We have been instrumental in saving and preserving many of Summit County’s historic sites, as well as preserving the history of Summit County by publishing many books and articles.

Our properties include residences, schools and mine sites, a historic barn and a Historic meeting hall. These structures and the numerous artifacts they contain provide a rich insight into the history and culture of a golden era in the mountains of Colorado.

An individual membership entitles you to receive our quarterly newsletters, information on tours, programs, and events and occasional discounts on books. By joining the Summit Historical Society, you become an important part of a dedicated volunteer organization that provides a wealth of education and many services to Summit County residents and thousands of visitors. By preserving its legacy, the Society maintains the unique character of Summit County, an attraction for many.

To take advantage of this opportunity, you may join by clicking here to access our membership application, filling out and printing the application, and mailing it to us. Full instructions may be found on the “Membership Application” page.

Thank you from the Summit Historical Society Board of Directors.
